Within each chapter events are presented chronologically, but at the end of say the chapter about Edison in his thirties, the book jumps back to Edison in his twenties/5(). Edison by Edmund Morris was a comprehensive and meticulously researched biography of Thomas Alva Edison.
While Morris is one of our most esteemed biographers, this was a book that he chose to write in reverse chronological order, why I'm not sure, and due to his sudden death last year I'm not sure anyone can answer that question, but it was disconcerting/5.
